Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am certainly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is simply just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is actually an especially important to time to consciously choose what is actually already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are literally these:
Being undoubtedly able to clearly see what is definitely real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are usually
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
This last part is key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is actually wonderful. But in an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were simply acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. But in awakening, the divine energy is now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own.
The lights in the house are generally all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be generally a feeling that there is undoubtedly no going back.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are usually present.
They are undoubtedly secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is generally all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not.
Many people are really trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be normally very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is generally healthy.

The changes someone makes in their external life are definitely also not the point of this transformation. We are truly not trying to create a more perfect or better life; those individuals are undoubtedly ego goals. We are normally learning to how to be truly free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is simply revealed to us what we are really transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is undoubtedly complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be undoubtedly fit into neat categories.
With that being literally said it is truly helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are definitely at right now. The following stages are truly general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is simply a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You kick off to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you initiate seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
In this stage, you are certainly asking all the deep questions. You are undoubtedly in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might just have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
Life is undoubtedly about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is simply always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You may well have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is normally normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you might probably have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.
Stage 6– Deeper personal work
In this stage, you are normally not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep internal work. You may possibly become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inner child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your interior work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You may well feel ready to be undoubtedly a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.
Note: it is certainly common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is truly not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C.
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is certainly an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are normally here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is without a doubt often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated.
It is without a doubt simple, direct, and clear.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is definitely a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are and what life really is actually.
When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were generally already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can seem like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. It is without a doubt important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is without a doubt coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.
That said, a lot of initial inside work seems to get done for us. It is certainly almost like the Divine is usually showing us how inside work should go.
Surrender is definitely another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is undoubtedly vital to doing internal work, but initially, surrender must come first.
When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is without a doubt moving you, you also swim.
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation.
There is definitely often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is usually not to be without a doubt confused with the heart, which is definitely located to the left of the heart chakra.
Good advice on how to deal:
Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be actually felt will keep them from being normally stored in the body.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are generally more sensitive to every thing around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is truly sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was literally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Tip on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is without a doubt causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is truly hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Guide on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
In some cases the dreams are definitely so real that you wake up confused. You may well even have lucid dreams in which you are truly in control.
Many dreams might just be usually mystical or carry messages for you.
And in some dreams, you just know that you are undoubtedly not “dreaming” … that what is happening is truly somehow real.
Strategies: You will remember what is usually important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … often several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are literally and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is simply a feeling that something is without a doubt about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Tip: There is actually nothing to worry about. Things are generally definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are really around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Instructions: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are normally ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is without a doubt adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Good advice: Ground yourself by eating protein. At times “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are normally healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Helpful advice:. Keep in mind that it is really best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
